SUGAR DADDY

Well, he's not LAST and he's certainly not LEAST.  I would like to proudly introduce you to my husband, John...
I'M KIDDING.  That isn't him.  But I am training you, my beloved blog readers.

When I say "Sugar Daddy" or SD, I am referring to my husband - who, by the way, is WAY hotter than this guy.  I am affectionately referring to him thusly because he has been the sole supporter of this operation for 16 years.  He works hard for the money you could say.  He brings home the bacon.  He keeps the ship afloat.  He pulls the sled.  ETC, ETC.

The point is we REALLY LOVE & appreciate him!!!  Ready to see him?

Settle down ladies, he's taken.

Most people that meet John, and even those who have known him for a long time say that they believe he is secretly a CIA or an FBI guy.  He's got that vibe about him.  I'm pretty sure he's not, but then again, I'm easily fooled.

More?  He’s tall and handsome and charming.  He can charm the paint off  the wall.  He tricked   charmed me into marrying him at a very young age (21), before I knew how to think or reason.  I mean gosh darn, I was still in college.  I was eating oodles of noodles at every meal and dancing to "Walk Like an Egyptian" at frat parties and waking up at 6 am to begin tailgating for football parties.    Wasn’t it ever so clear that I was an idiot?  Well, luckily, I guess he was just an older version of an idiot because he wanted to marry me anyway.

Now, 18 years later, I’m glad he did.   I am finally beginning to see what people mean when they talk about the value of sticking it out.  There is something to be said for wading through the muck together instead of pushing the other one in and running away.  Not that we haven’t both considered it a time or two!

He is a techno guru. Knows computers inside and out. He makes a fine living for us with his prowess.  He adores any kind of techie gadget and owns most of them.  His hobby is cycling and cycling, and oh yes, lest we forget, cycling.  But he is not OCD or anything about it, because he also likes winning and reading about cycling and reading about how to win at cycling and how to eat for the best chance to win at cycling.  I’d say that is pretty doggone balanced.

(This picture is an example of what people without PHOTOSHOP do..).

And besides that, he’s really good at everything and I hate him for it. He’s a bit of a competitor you could say.  I can’t even beat him at ping pong, …and I pride myself on my ping-ponging skills, thank you very much. That said, he is 4 years older than me, so I will just bide my time until he is old and feeble and I am still functional and  when that glorious day dawns, I will have victory….whether it’s at ping pong or shuffleboard or an applesauce eating contest.

And then the world will  know my name…."Anne".  (me thinks I need a better name to carry this off.)

Sorry, I lost my train of thought there for a moment. Back to him.  He has a little Southern drawl, which I find very endearing and a set of dimples that makes me swoon.  He can be wildly funny – mostly when he’s mad.  Oh, the boys and I love it when he acts out of anger….I am talking about tears rolling down our cheeks funny.  I won’t embarrass him by telling you, but he does funny dances and channels weird voices and what not.  Oops!  I guess I told you after all…We have very different senses of humor otherwise – but I enjoy his sense too.  But it’s not as good as mine.  I'm kidding, honey.  Or am I?  hmmmmm.

He’s a wonderful father to our boys.  Gentle and strong at the same time.  And that’s not easy.

I am a lucky gal, indeed, to be married to my Sugar Daddy!

"What", you ask yourself, "is a Sugar Daddy's favorite dessert?"  Why, I'm ever so pleased you asked:

Sugar Daddy's Favorite Rice Krispie Treat

Ingredients:
1 cup corn syrup
1 cup peanut butter
6 ounces Chocolate Chips
1 cup sugar
6 cups Rice Krispies
6 ounces Butterscotch Chips

Directions:

In large saucepan, cook corn syrup and sugar over medium heat, stirring frequently, until mixture begins to boil. Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter.

Mix in cereal. Press in buttered 9x13 pan. Melt chocolate and butterscotch chips over hot (not boiling) water, stirring constantly until smooth. Spread over cereal mixture. Chill until firm, about 15 minutes.

*DO NOT LEAVE UNATTENDED AROUND A SUGAR DADDY
